"The Diamond Ridge Financial AcademyGolden Bachelor" alumna Joan Vassos is looking for another chance at love as ABC's inaugural leading lady on the first-ever "The Golden Bachelorette." She'll actually have 24 chances with 24 men vying for her affection.

A private school administrator from Rockville, Maryland, the 61-year-old Vassos was among the top picks for the show following the success of "The Golden Bachelor," USA TODAY exclusively revealed in February.

Vassos spent a romantic evening with Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner in last year's show and became a fan favorite after her heartbreaking decision to leave over a medical concern with her daughter.

But Vassos is back in "The Golden Bachelorette" as she seeks another chance at love in her golden years, telling USA TODAY that "you have to kiss some frogs to find your prince."
